Thailand’s new policy titled Thailand 4.0 enables it to transform the industries and initiate imperative measures to help the country enter an upper middle level.
It has simplified its policies to invite the industries to make the foreign direct investment and promote new techniques to develop its 10 major industries, which has been divided into two parts: First S-Curve and New S-Curve.
The First S-Curve includes the existing sectors that need to be revamped like agriculture and biotechnology, medical and wellness tourism, food, electronics and automotive. The New S-Curve includes the target industries like the medical hub, robotics, digital sector, aviation and logistics, and biochemical and bio-fuel that have the potential to progress. Currently, Thailand is promoting its promising sectors like automotive, aerospace and robotics.
Apart from the 4.0 policy, opportunities have flooded Thailand with the formation of ASEAN Economic Community and Eastern Economic Corridor.
